Features

We offer 2 sizes of the Grumman F7F-3 TIGERCAT. These plans were developed from original Grumman Aircraft Co. drawings, USAF documentation, & photos we took of a concours restoration completed at the Planes of Fame Museum in Chino, CA.
These plans are intended for the advanced modeler. Of conventional balsa & plywood construction,fully sheathed in balsa, it's features include full house R.C. operation, folding wing mechanism, & drawings of true scale struts for retracts. Plans show auxiliary fuel tank, bombs, & rockets.

The span of the 1:7.5 airplane is 82.4", length is 72.66", & the wing area is 1158.95 sq. in.. The target weight is 13 lbs. 2.6 ounces, with a wing loading of 26.16 oz. per sq. ft. Power is supplied by a pair of O.S.. 60 PFs, or SAITO FA-80's, or 91's. The Instruction Manual includes "Dimensions and Aerodynamic Particulars" of the full size aircraft. Scale struts can be purchased from a special equipment supplier. The plans consist of 4-36"x 72" sheets.
